KAMINCO OCEANIC and ABATEMENT TECHNOLOGY ‘' EcoSilencer'' ®

Since 2005, the OCEANIC branch of KAMINCO is dedicated to a systematical campaign for the introduction and application of  the Abatement (Scrubber) Technology System “EcoSilencer”®, to the whole European,  American  and  Australian Shipping Communities, and to involved State Authorities and Organizations on behalf of Marine Exhaust Solutions Ltd of Canada.

‘'EcoSiolencer''®  is for the cleaning of Ships Exhaust Gazes from SOx, and part  from NOx, PM, CO2,  in compliance with the requirements of MARPOL  Annex VI,  as an alternative to the inefficiency of low sulphur fuels in the international market.

The created international  reactions and expressions of interest by KAMINCO OCEANIC SA' s  intensive campaign are excellent.

With his professional  Articles in the International  and Greek  Maritime  Press, his comprehensive  Presentations and Lectures  in Conferences and Exhibitions  G e o r g e  S.  K a m i n i s  has succeeded in alleviating the hesitations, difficulties and delays for the  implementation of  the Abatement (Scrubber) Technology to Annex VI of MARPOL,

THE STORY

Story of KAMINCO starts at the beginning of sixties, when a young Mariner Mr. George S. Kaminis with a Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Degree sound...

experiences, emerged in Piraeus as a Consultant and Technical Representative of Diesel Engines, and Corrosion Engineer. It was the time the Greek Shipping was switching from steam to diesel and from conventional to special coatings. In both sections he has been instrumental in helping Greek Shipping “one step ahead”.
During seventies GSK ,while working, obtains his Msc Degree in Marine Engineering and Phd Degree in Economics.

Market Leaders, 100% of the local market share of newbuilt Fast Ferries and Cruise Ships with modern CPPs and T.Thrusters, Water Jets and Pods.

Fitted with CPPs Thrusters and/or Water Jets 50 Fast Passenger RoPax Ferries, Cruise Ships and Catamarans, also over 100 tankers and other types of ships, and two cruise vessels with PODs. Retrofited three Cruise ships with modern CPPs and T. Thrusters, one cruise ship and one Ferry with FPPs.

Fitted the biggest Water Jets, type 200, in the world.

Reverse Osmosis
Reverse Osmosis units in Greece, first installed on a Geek Cruise Vessel retrofitted in Perama, and in a Villa in  Kavouri, Greece, successfully. Rendered primary consultancy advice for a big R.O. unit for Syros Island, assembled locally by the technical section of the Commercial Bank of Greece.

   

1990   KAMINCO NEW GENERATION 

Sotirios G. Kaminis, after nine years of studies in the U.S.A., returns to Greece with a Msc degree in Aeronautics and Human Resaurces Management and a Phd degree in International Business Management. After he fulfills his service in the Hellenic Navy, he joins forces with his father George S. Kaminis, adding modern knowledge and power that reinforces KAMINCO capabilities to diversify and in other new technology horizons.

Established the exclusively authorized Piraeus Service Station for CP Propellers, T.Thrusters, Water Jets, Azimuth Thrusters, Pods, Gears, attending all local and selected foreign ship owners service and spare parts inquiries, as well as the installations and trials of such equipment on locally build or retrofitted ferries, cruise ships and yachts.

Built in Perama
Engineering design, supply and installation of complete engine room equipment, including main engines, shaftings, propellers, steering gear and auxiliary equipment on the two first steel-hull patrol boats built in Perama on account of the Ministry of Merchant Marine.

1969 - 1977
Fitted Hydrographic vessel “NAUTILUS” with W/T Hatch Cover.
Fitted Navy Research Vessel with a Steering Gear.

1978 - UP TODAY


Cooperation with the Hellenic Navy/Greek Shipyards and Hellenic Airforce

Mayor armament and fire control retrofit design studies on behalf of the Hellenic Navy.

Complete study, design and drawings for upgrading of Destroyer AIGAION.

Introduction of ILS System to Hellenic Navy Armament Directorate.

Drydocking inspection of first Hellenic Navy Frigate type “S” “ELLI” on account of Building Yard.

Two Hellenic Navy Patrol Boats "ARMATOLOS" "NAVMACHOS", fitted with modern CPPs systems.

Supported up to today with maintainance servive and spare parts.

Co-operation with the Hellenic Navy and Hellenic Shipyards in war ship design development for new patrol boats, type PYRPOLITIS.

Co-operation with the Hellenic Navy and Eleusis Shipyards in war ship design development for 5 new LSTs type SAMOS.

Electromagnetic compatibility design study, testing and certification for five new LST, type SAMOS built by Eleusis shipyards.

Consultancy service to Hellenic Airforce and Hellenic Navy for implementation of advance technology Missiles.

Consultancy Service to Civil Aviation Authority for tender of new Air Traffic Control System.

Fast Patrol Boat for the Hellenic Ministry of Finance

Design, construction, trials, delivery to the Financial and Economic Crimes Office (SDOE) of the Hellenic Ministry of Finance their biggest (47,3 m.) A/L 50, fitted with special FP Propellers. The most stable Patrol vessel (37 knots), sailing at sea state 9 with 25 knots.

Today under the command of Greek Coast Guard with the insignia 050. Supported up to today with technical supervision and maintenance service.
